Here's the Design Team

I made this card using the grid technique. I printed grid paper onto cardstock. I stamped the gardenia flower onto the grid and watercolored it. Each square is painted a different color. I took crayola markers and scribbled onto. I think it looks like a stained glass window. I sprayed it with gold shimmer paint and splattered white paint onto it.

Enjoy the Hop. Come on back tomorrow for more cre
ative fun!!

Hotdogger Card

My daughter's college roommate just found out that she was chosen as one of the 12 hotdoggers for this next year. What is a hotdogger? Well, you know the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile? Someone has to drive them. About 2000 college seniors apply for the 12 positions. The competition is tough but my daughter's friend made it. So of course I needed to make a card for her. I hand cut the pieces out of cardstock., I painted the face and added a sentiment printed on my computer.

He is Risen

Another card in anticipation of Resurrection Sunday. I used my computer to merge a digital image of the cross with graph paper. I then water colored each square. I sprayed gold shimmer paint over the cross panel. I outlined it using a gold sharpie marker. I heat embossed gold embossing powder at the bottom. The sentiment is from MFP EASTER STAMP SET

I had to get really creative with my card for this event. I have very few Easter stamps in my stash and none of my Unity Stamps are Easter ones. I'm not into eggs or bunnies or crosses. In fact I don't celebrate Easter, but I definitely celebrate Resurrection Sunday. I am thankful that Christ died for my sins, but what greater celebration, then celebrating that he didn't stay dead. That is why I used the sheet music to CHRIST AROSE, for the base of my card. I printed it on my computer and burned the edges.  These are the Unity stamps that I did use on my card.

I thought it would be neat to wrap roses from my "garden" in newspaper. I stamped the newsprint onto a pale green piece of parchment and made a cone. The flower from well wishes I stamped twice on tan cardstock, same as sheet music and used that as a background to glue my quilled roses to. I stamped the butterfly twice, colored it and cut it in half and layered two of the left sides on top of eachother.
I added pearls, lace, ribbon and a patterned paper card with roses on it to finish it off.

Thanks for looking and leaving a comment it means a lot to me.

3-d butterfly mix110

It was my turn to host the mixability challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com

My challenge was to pop up images on card/project. I decided to do 3-d paper piecing ( a paper tole technique). I stamped the butterfly several times and colored and cut. I layered the top wings more than the bottom wings so they would have more dimension.

It is really hard to see how shiny this card is. The little circle has wink of stella on it and it is so sparkly in the sunshine. I popped the card up on an easel card so you could see the piano keyboard.
