I stamped the typewriter twice. Once on white and once on cream.
I cut the white paper part out and layered on top of the cream. I stamped the
sentiment on white too and cut it out and glued on top. I stamped two of the
little hearts onto green and fussy cut them out and glued them down. The typewriter
is dimensional because I glued paper springs underneath it to pop it up.

I was inspired by this photograph by my good friend Pam Stang.

I have a Unity background stamp that I don't remember the name, I think it
might be a discontinued one. It looks like a crackle background.
I stamped it with blue and fussy cut it look like the vase.
I also stamped in blue the squiggle from Unity set called Beautiful Elements

I added texture to the card by
embossing it and I added some tulle under the sentiment
The sentiment is one I received from a Unity grab bag so I don't know
which set it is from

Mixed Media Challenge -alcohol backgrounds

It is my turn to be the mixed media challenge hostess on SCS.
My challenge is to do alcohol ink background.
You put water into a disposable container.
Drop alcohol ink on top of water.
Lay white cardstock on top of ink and water and lift. The alcohol
ink will go onto the paper in interesting designs.
I did this on Monday and these are the 8 unique pieces that I got.
I decided to make them into tags

I had a blast making the tags but my friend Pam Challenged me to make a train card.
So I did  a couple of more sample of the alcohol background technique.

This one I stamped a newspaper image using black stazon

Here is the card I made.

It is an easel card

poppy card using The Ton stamp set

When I participated in the Coffee Lover's Fall blog hop, I won a stamp set from The Ton. This is the set that I picked: Fresh cut Poppies Outline

I used it  to make a Pastor appreciation card.

I added some texture to the card with lace, twine, and ribbon. I also added a tag and a little wooden key. The flowers were cut out and popped up with paper springs. I used burned glue technique for the centers of the flowers.
